Citrix® certification test-taking advice

If you wish to purchase Citrix® certification preparation products, you'll need to login or register if you don't already have an account.

The following is some test-taking advice for Citrix® certification exams.

Attend the official Citrix® certification course. At the course you will get instruction from a qualified Citrix® Certified Instructor, who you can receive real-world and Citrix® test taking pointers from. You will also receive the official Citrix® Accredited Learning Center (CALC) instruction manuals, where most of the test questions come from. The manuals also include CDs with the products which you are being instructed on, and usually a few extras. Although this is the most desirable way to prepare for Citrix® exams, it is certainly not the only way.

Purchase a Citrix® book. Even if you have attended the CALC course, you should pad your studying experience with a Citrix® book that has a real-world spin. Having the viewpoint of a book author who has plenty of real-world experience will fill in those gaps that the instructor at the Citrix® course may not have been able to completely fulfill because of his or her lack of valuable real-world experience. For those who choose to fore-go the official Citrix® course, try to choose a book that caters to the Citrix® exam that you are studying for. If you have the funds, pick up a second book that will give you that all-important real-world perspective. In association with Amazon.com, we have conveniently placed the top selling Citrix® and Microsoft® Terminal Services books in the Citrixxperience.com Bookstore.

Study free material on the internet. Whether you have the money to spend on the above suggestions or not, finding free Citrix® study material on the internet is a must. Many times you will find a Citrix® forum where people who have already taken the exam can offer up some advice on what to prepare for before you take the exam. You will also find free practice test questions, study guides, admin guides, technology manuals, and a whole plethora of other information. Do a search on Google for 'Citrix practice exams', 'Citrix certification', 'Citrix study guides", 'Citrix exam prep', or for the exact Citrix® test number and name that you plan on taking, or any variation thereof.

When Citrixxperience.com first started, no one was offering Citrix® study material for Citrix® CCA, CCEA, and CCIA certification. Since then, many others have jumped on the bandwagon and started their own Citrix® certification web sites. But with the amount of material that is perpetually gathered on our site, you can find most of the material you will need right here. Start by checking out our Citrix® certification and exam information and browse from there.

Gain experience with Citrix® products. You can take all of the classes, and read all of the books you want, but nothing beats good, old-fashioned experience.

As mentioned before, if you take the CALC class, you will receive the CD that has the product on it. Take that home and install it on your PC. Get comfortable with every console, menu, and option.

When you read Citrix® books or Citrix® study guides, or take Citrix® practice exams, test each concept and configuration out yourself. This way, you will actually experience what the author is writing about, not just rely on mental visualization. If you have a test lab at work that you can play around with, even better. I suggest not 'playing' to much with a production server farm, for obvious reasons.

Use Citrix® exam simulation; brush up with Citrix® printable practice exams and Citrix® study guides. The last article of business that you should be concerned with is using Citrix® exam simulation, Citrix® study guides, and Citrix® practice exams to help you get a comparable feel for the real exam.

Run through the exam simulations over and over again until you are scoring over 95% every time. Look up information on subjects that you are having a hard time grasping in your Citrix® books, on the internet, and in the study guide. Once you feel comfortable with the exam simulation, don't wait for more than a couple of days to schedule the real exam.

Take the offline printable study guide and practice exam with you everywhere you go. When you have a couple minutes of free time, take them out and peruse them, try to get the information ingrained in your head. First, go over some questions in the printable practice exam, and whichever subject they are from, glance over that subject in the study guide. Go over both of them the night before the real exam and the morning of. Take them with you to the testing center and give them one more quick glance before going in to sit down for the exam.

For more information about our exam simulations, study guides, and printable practice exams, see the product information page and the features page.

Choose your own path. Of course, this is just some advice to get you started on your Citrix® certification and test-taking path. You can follow this advice strictly and probably do very well or you can completely go on a different path, the choice is yours. Whichever route you decide to take on your Citrix® certification path, we wish you well and hope that you will visit us regularly at Citrixxperience.com.
